The Penguin Book of New Russian Writing: Russia's Fleurs Du Mal
Published in Paperback by Penguin USA (Paper) (March, 1996)
Authors: V. V. Erofeev, Andrew Reynolds, and Victor Erofeyev
Average review score:

Shining Stars during the Years of Soviet Decline
I recommend this to anyone. If you think that the ex-Soviet Union was dead culturally, cut off from the wells of Beauty, Truth, and Goodness, read this; you will find in it the writings of those who did not give up, who lived and loved in awful conditions, and who withstood in dignity the trials that destiny doled out to them.

If you are an afficianado or curious about Russian dissidence during the Brezhnev, Chernenko, and Andropov years (those before Perestroika), buy this book. You will be amazed at the absurdist earthy humor of these writers (especially that of Prigov).

Many selections deal with the perennial human dilemnas that stem from choice (Dovlatov, Popov), conflicts between urban and rural life (Gorenshtein, Astafiev), and contradictory wordviews (Prigov).

Also check out anything by Victor Erofeev, who is the compiler of this anthology (which created a big stir in the Kremlin in the early 80's).

To these brave writers, we should resound in unanimous praise.

A Peolpe Armed and Free
"Anybody who reads this book has to be convinced that we all have a right to keep and bear arms, and that the gun control people are trying to sell America a bill of goods. It is very interesting, I learned more than I ever suspected was even out there, and it was easy to read and understand."

A Primer in Theory Construction.
Published in Paperback by MacMillan Pub Co (June, 1971)
Author: Paul Davidson. Reynolds
Average review score:

A Must for Learning Theory Construction
This book is a fountain of information for those individuals who wish to learn how to understand and develop theory. It is a "user friendly" guide that takes the reader through the A B C's of theory construction. Written in easily understandable language, this book takes the mystique and fear out of theory building and turns it into child's play. I highly recommend this book for students and other individuals who have an interest in theory construction but are afraid it will be over their heads.

Good book for college anatomy and physiology students
I found this book useful as a reference in my studying for my college anatomy and physiology exams. Tortora is a great author and knows how to communicate important facts in a simple way. In this way, the whole audience can understand. He makes A and P a pleasure to learn. However, I also used the following books which are also sold on amazon.
Anatomy and Physiology Study Guide: Key Review Questions and Answers with Explanations Vol 1(ISBN: 0971999619) and also
Vol 2 (ISBN: 0971999627)
I got a 97 average using these 3 books. My advice get these books if you want excellent grades.

now in VB.NET - and for version 1
I reviewed the orginal version of this book which was in C#. I've been lucky enought ot get my hands on the new VB.NET edition and it is even better than the original. I am more used to VB as it is, and I spent quite a lot of time translating some of the code snippets in the original, but now I don't have to! The book has changed a bit, it looks better than the first edition, and it is now completely 1.0 compliant. I've used the first book a lot, it's told me more or less everything I've needed to know. If you need to know about web services and you prefer VB then this is the only book you'll need!

Authors: John Frederick Reynolds and Carolyn B. Matalene
Average review score:

Great Practical Uses
I borrowed this book and found that the various essays about writing in the workplace and teaching writing in the workplace had great practical applications to my daily writing activities at work. While I had an academic reason for my interest in this book, I am now going to buy my own copy!

Helpful sample documents illustrate concepts; great topics such as "Consulting in a Bureaucracy" is helpful in navigating any bureaucracy. "What Adult Work-World Writers...." gives great examples about styles to avoid, etc.

Going into management? You might want this book!
